I've been reading fanfiction, both gen and slash, since 1995. Somewhere around 2002, I started writing original fiction, and am now the proud possessor of a relatively impressive collection of rejection letters. I started writing fanfiction thanks to a comment Peja made on one of the many mailing lists she moderates - by the time I stopped giggling, I had already written three paragraphs. Caro Dee got me into The Sentinel, and I've been a voracious reader of it ever since. The only fandom I write in (so far) is Riptide, although the list of fandoms I enjoy reading is too long to list.

Caro Dee

I wrote my first piece of fan fiction in May of 2003. As a result of trying to find a beta, I ended up joining my first list, Sentinel_betas, and officially entered the World Of Fandom. It's been a blast. I'm primarily a Jim/Blair slasher, but recently I've begun to write the occasional Gen story. I'm delighted to be part of the Light My Fire Awards because I have a deep love for TS fan fiction and I'm very grateful to the writers for making Jim and Blair come alive again and again.

Since 2000 I've been a voracious bifictional reader and lover of Sentinel fic. I'm also a member of the Sentinel_Betas list and I love to work with authors on plot points, phrasing, flow, etc. I'm now beginning to dip my toe into the writing pool. So far I've collaborated with another author, learning first hand to appreciate the amount of work, love and talent that go into writing fic.

I have been reading both gen and slash Sentinel fanfiction for about a year. Depending on my mood I will read absolutely anything and have very few squicks. Just recently I have taken my first step into writing Sentinel and have one gen and one slash piece.
Other fandoms I am involved with include LOTR, Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Jeremiah, Weiz Krus, and NightWalker. Currently I am putting together an archive to house all of my favorite stories. The link is listed below, but please be warned it is a work in progress. Last year I was a judge for the LOTR's Starless Night Awards.
I have been the main plot writer for several on-line rpg's and am currently writing and playing Melkor and all of his evil forces in a well established modern LOTR game. I created and run a writing community on Live Journal. I also enjoy creating photomanips and web graphics.

I'm an Australian fan of The Sentinel since 2001, and I'm very much a J/B slasher, with my favourite boy fluctuating depending on my mood. I love first times, AU's and angst. Although I have attempted writing one story, I much prefer to read all the wonderful stories that are already out there. I also adore watching songvids and devouring art, of which there aren't nearly enough!

Sara (sara_merry99)

I've been in slash fandom since sometime in the summer of 2003 and in TS fandom since December 3, 2003. I've written some slash stories with Jim and Blair but am mostly a voracious bi-fictional reader. I love smarm and angst and h/c.
